Texas State Future Administrative System
The Future Administrative Systems (FAS) Project is the result of a collaborative effort by Texas State staff from different divisions that culminated in the implementation of the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. As a result, Texas State University has become Texas’ first public higher education institution to implement the SAP ERP software.
The new system integrates data from Financial, Human Resource, and Student Information systems for centralized processing and accessibility. Texas State’s Information Technology and Finance and Support Services Divisions joined forces to select and implement the state-of-the-art ERP system.
The Finance part of the system became operational September, 2004. The Human Resources segment went “live” December, 2004. The Student Information System selection process will begin in 2006.
